The hospital features the most extensive, elaborate, enormous Orthotics and Prosthetics Dept that I have come across. The dept. includes casting, fitting and delivery rooms as well as a gait training/practice area. One of the biggest challenges of the dept is working with acquired and congenital amputees 0-18 years because the patients’ prosthetics needs continually change. Dynamic alignment is done in-house with PTs, OTs and the prosthetist.
